Graphic Design

Great design always puts function before form. The reason is very simple. A graphic design is a means to an end - not an end in itself.  Great graphic designers, new product developers, art directors and directors of films and videograpers all know this.

You begin with the COMMUNICATION STRATEGY and THE MESSAGE. You get those two critical things right – then you make the message beautiful, beguiling and perhaps even, seductive; by using the the elements of visual communication: Words-Pictures-Type Fonts-Photograpy-Artwork-Film-Video-Special Effects-Paper-Texture and Tone. And don’t forget, in film or video, voice choices and music selections are part of graphic design too!

THE ORCA GRAPHIC DESIGN CHALLENGE: Send us a jpeg or eps file of something that you’re currently using. An advertisement, web page, sales flyer or a brochure.

Let us show you how we would have done it.

Send it to: kevin@orcastl.com

Or you can save money by having your wife’s nephew design it as part of his college project. Don’t laugh. It happens!
